Ingredients
- 28 ounce bag of tater tots
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 8 eggs
- 1 cup finely shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper (optional)
- green onions for garnish (optional)
- optional 4-5 strips bacon
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking oil.
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat for 8 minutes, breaking it apart until it reaches 160 F.
- Whisk the eggs, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Spread the sausage in the baking dish, pour the egg mixture over it, and sprinkle on the cheddar cheese.
- Arrange the tater tots over the top and bake for 35 minutes until the eggs are firm and the tots are crisp.
