Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 2 tbsp neutral vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp shaoxing wine or dry sherry
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Steps
- Trim the green beans and mix the water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, wine, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Stir-fry the green beans for 8 to 10 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the sauce and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring until thickened.
- Stir in the sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
