Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 jalapeños
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 cans (15 1/2 oz) garbanzo beans
- 1/2 cup packed cilantro leaves
- 7 tbsp well-stirred tahini
- 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp smoked cumin or regular cumin
Steps
- Remove the stems from the jalapeños and drain the garbanzo beans.
- Add the garbanzo beans, cilantro, tahini, lemon juice, water, garlic, jalapeños, salt, and cumin to a food processor.
- Blend for 2 minutes, scraping the sides as needed.
- Pour in the olive oil and blend for 1 minute until smooth.
- Chill the hummus for 25 minutes before serving.
