Ingredients
- 1 package milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp grated orange zest
- 1 1/4 tsp orange extract
- 3/4 cups finely chopped toasted pecans
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp shortening
Steps
- Grease a shallow 8-inch pan with oil.
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes, until steaming.
- Pour the cream over the package of milk chocolate chips and semisweet chips, let it stand for 2 minutes, then stir smooth.
- Stir in the orange zest, orange extract, and pecans, then spread the mixture in the pan.
- Chill the mixture for 10 minutes, then scoop it into 18 portions and roll them smooth.
- Melt the remaining milk chocolate chips with the shortening in a saucepan over low heat for 3 minutes.
- Coat the portions with the melted chocolate and chill them for 7 minutes, until set.
