- 1 head leaf lettuce or romaine
- 3 pears
- 5 oz roquefort cheese
- 1 avocado - peeled
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp prepared dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- fresh ground black pepper to taste (optional)
Steps
- Wash and dry the lettuce, then tear it into a large bowl.
- Slice the pears, avocado, and green onions, then add them with the Roquefort and pecans.
- Whisk the oil, vinegar, sugars, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Toss the salad with the dressing just before serving.
