Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large scallion
- 3 tbsp freshly grated parmesan (optional)
- heaping 1 tbs finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- heaping 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- generous pinch black pepper
- 1 loaf french baguette
Steps
- Heat the oven to 400 F and split the baguette lengthwise.
- Mash the roasted garlic with softened butter, olive oil, scallion, parsley, Parmesan, hot sauce, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Spread the garlic butter over the cut sides of the baguette.
- Bake on a baking sheet for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are crisp and the center is hot.
