Ingredients

4 lb yukon gold potatoes
4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup melted butter
1 1/4 cups sour cream
2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Steps

Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch pieces, then place them with the garlic in a large pot.
Cover the potatoes with water, add salt, and boil over medium-high heat for 15 to 18 minutes until tender.
Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the warm pot for 1 minute.
