Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds
  • ~1 cup dates
  • 1/4 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 heaping cup unsweetened cocoa or raw cacao powder
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup roasted salted peanuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup natural salted peanut butter (optional)

Steps

  1. Pulse the first dates, walnuts, almonds, chocolate chips, cocoa, and salt until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into a lined 8-inch square pan.
  3. Blend the remaining dates, almonds, peanuts, and peanut butter until a thick paste forms.
  4. Spread the peanut mixture evenly over the brownie base.
  5. Chill the bars for 10 minutes, then cut them into 20 pieces.
